Workplace Nursery Provision

A network of nurseries

We work with nurseries across the UK and are adding new ones all the time.

We have a network of nurseries that we currently work with to offer this benefit to companies and this list grows daily. If a parent would like to use a nursery that we don’t currently partner with, we will contact them to discuss how the benefit can help them and their nursery parents.

This is an employer supported benefit.
It enables employees who choose to use a nursery setting for the care of their child, to save money as a result of reduced tax and national insurance payments. This benefit can be used from birth up to the age of 5 (or when the child goes to school).
This benefit is a contracted partnership between your employer and a nursery. You are required to be actively involved in a phone meeting with the nursery within the first 6 weeks of the contract starting.
In this meeting you are acting as a representative of the company. During the meeting we discuss the plans for the nursery for the period of the contract and agree how the monies from the company can be used to best effect.
In order for you to access a workplace nursery place, your employer must partner with a chosen nursery. The cost of a workplace nursery place, includes all of the benefit administration costs.
This cost is recouped from your gross salary.

Your nursery fees must be at least £650 per month in order to use the benefit. There is a cost to use the benefit, which is included in the employees’ gross deduction.

The nursery will make us aware of the nursery fees needed, which we will confirm with you before we invoice. They are able to deduct the free hours from your bill and inform us of the outstanding amount. If the nursery isn’t aware at the beginning of the contract, as long as we are given 6 weeks’ notice from the nursery, we can alter the fees.

The contract is 12 months in length. Once you have a contract in place, we would contact you 2 months prior to its end date, to see if you wish to have another contract set up.
You can have a contract up to the date the child goes to school; this is only applicable if you have already had a 12 month contract. Contract extensions are available once a 12 month contract has been completed and must run concurrently.

The contract is a partnership between your employer and your nursery for a 12 month period. If you no longer wish to use the benefit, you must give Enjoy Benefits 1 months’ written notice. We will then set your fees to zero. Your employer will however continue to pay the £100 a month nursery contribution to the nursery. Please read your company’s policy documents with regards to the operation of the Workplace nursery benefit. The nursery fee deduction will stop. You will need to pay the nursery for any ongoing nursery fees yourself.

No, the only things you need to be mindful of are; if the salary deduction would take you below minimum wage. If so, you wouldn’t be able to deduct the full amount, only as much as your salary allows. Secondly, if you are considering applying for a mortgage please contact your broker to discuss how this may affect your application.

Ideally the full nursery fees would come from one salary. This makes it less complicated for the nursery receiving the payments.

The nursery will receive £100 from your employer each month (£1200 extra per year). This is money that is to be used for the running and upkeep of the nursery. You may decide that it is used for resources and activities that the nursery may not normally be able to afford.

Examples include:
the purchase of new outdoor equipment, staff training, paying for outsourced companies like Zoolab to come into the nursery, specialised lessons such as language, dance, sports, yoga, day trips, books, items for a sensory room or garden area etc.

Yes. If both children are in the nursery from the start of the first agreement then both children will be added onto one contract. If one child starts later than the first child then two separate contracts are set up and the nursery will receive two lots of funding. Again, the only thing to monitor is that the deduction of both fees doesn’t take you below minimum wage.

No, they can partner with as many nurseries as they like.

Partents Feedback

The workplace benefit is fantastic, it has saved us a lot of money, circa £4000 per year. It makes a real difference to us as a family and helps us do more fun things together. This year we’ve put the saving towards converting our garage into a play area for the children and next year it will go towards a once in a lifetime trip to see Santa over Christmas. The nursery are really on board too as they have an additional £100 per month to invest. Every business should look in to offering this to their staff – what an added benefit to shout about when attracting / retaining loyal employees!

I am very happy with the service provided by Enjoy Benefits. I have used their Workplace Nursery Scheme and saved many thousands of pounds over the 4 years I have been putting my two children through nursery. It was very easy to set up and the staff at Enjoy Benefits were always friendly and helpful with any queries I may have had. The nursery also benefitted from “extra” money each month provided from my employer which was put towards many wonderful items the nursery would not have been able to provide without the scheme. Items like tablet computers, chicks hatching at Easter and my favourite musical instruments in the garden. Enjoy Benefits even sent my son a birthday card with a gift card inside! My family have saved lots of money, the nursery got more funding and my employer got a very happy employee, it is a great scheme and if you are able to use it you won’t regret it.
Mr Hawkins , Parent, Essex

The workplace nursery scheme has had a huge, positive impact on our family life over the past year. The financial savings have been significant, easing the pressure felt during this economic downturn, and the extra funds allocated to the nursery have been well received. Aside from the financial savings, we’ve really appreciated the “admin burden” transfer from us to Enjoy Benefits. I was surprised at how much it helped me not to have to worry about this side of things.

Ryo Koblitz, Nokia

The Enjoy Benefits team responded to my numerous queries at the outset to set up the scheme, were extremely responsive and the process was very clear and transparent. Once on the scheme, I benefitted from the significant cost savings and the team remained available to respond to any queries I had. This is a really significant benefit that has saved circa 25% of nursery fees. I highly recommend this scheme as a fantastic benefit to employees.

Ben Wulwik, OakNorth Bank Plc.

We have used workplace nursery contracts to pay for nursery for 18 months now and have found it to be brilliant. The simplicity of the setup means we don’t ever have to think too much about payments and we save a ton of money in the process. Enjoy Benefits were great when we made the decision to switch to a new nursery in between contracts, and the changeover was smooth and straightforward. We highly recommend this service and the team at Enjoy Benefits who are really easy to work with.

Mr DaCosta, Parent, London

Let’s be honest, childcare isn’t made easy or cheap for people who want to return to work without any tax reliefs etc. Myself and my partner always used childcare vouchers once we / our child was ready for nursery which was helpful as we made a small saving but was capped. We recently moved companies and childcare voucher providers and this is when Enjoy Benefits made us aware of the Workplace Nursery Benefit which offers a tax / NI relief on the full monthly childcare cost. This is a really good scheme which as helped us keep down our outgoings, which in turn helped us afford family day outs / family holidays etc. I would definitely recommend this scheme.

Mr Furness, Parent, Birmingham

When Enjoy Benefits first told me about the Nursery Workplace scheme, I was very sceptical to say the least, mainly as I couldn’t understand why everyone wasn’t joining and shouting about the benefits.

Who wouldn’t want to make tax and NI savings whilst providing the nursery with additional funding to support their child?! We decided to give it a go and as my company also benefited from savings, they didn’t take a lot of convincing either.

In the past two years we have saved a substantial amount of money due to this scheme and it turns out that there are no hidden surprises along the way! We have also continued paying into our childcare voucher scheme so we can use them for school holiday clubs. Brilliant scheme!!
